It’s that time of year ✨

This is my 13th year of taking these photos , but I’m not sure I have ever explained how these pictures came to fruition .
When my daughter was 8 months old , my mom had just given my christening gown that I had worn when I was her age .
I knew I wanted to photograph my daughter wearing it . And I knew I wanted it to be symbolic of the time I had wearing it .

So I decided to get into the water with her . I loved the image so much that I decided to re create it yearly .

How is every one adjusting to the routine of back to school?

Life just got a whole lot busier lately , but I’m here for it , my kids are loving their school and fall sports are starting 🥎⚾️⚽️

And I’m loving every second of these jam packed days !

And for the photographer who struggles to photograph this age , my advice to you is don’t overthink it , talk to them like the adults they are and just keep them moving , walking and interacting between each other , siblings and parents 😍
